Beautiful Place, Beautiful Junk

My sister Megan and I took a little trip around Nanny and Paw Paw's house taking pictures of special things that we remembered from our childhood. Each weathered memory felt so fresh and familiar, so much like home.

This road curves past Nanny and Grandad's back to the lake where we would walk to go fishing.

Well House. I love old buildings, this is my favorite one in the world.

Monahans

After our time in Sweetwater, we drove a few hours to my hometown, Monahans Tx. We stayed with my Bubba Stephen, his wife Jaynell, and our only nephew Blain. It's been over a year since we've seen them, we miss them so much! We got to see Aunt Sharon, Jeff, Shaylee, Jenny, Jayden, and McKenzie. We didn't have nearly enough time, I wasn't at all ready to leave, but we had to hurry back to avoid getting stuck in a snow storm.

The Trip Down

On the way down, we stopped in at John's Grandparents home in Eads Colorado. It was the BEST pit stop by far! We stayed for three hours, and the kids got to play with their cousins Ross and Lauren.

We spent this Thanksgiving at home- The usual turkey dinner, and spent the rest of the day putting up Christmas decorations, John and I even watched Christmas movies Thursday night to try and get in the spirit! We missed our family terribly, and it didn't feel much like Thanksgiving really - thinking ahead to Christmas helped to cheer us all up though.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy Celebrated his birthday at home before AND after Elk hunting this month! Two Parties, lucky dog!
